Are you encountering the issue where you post on social media, but the content doesn't seem to resonate with your audience? Don't worry, you aren't alone. This is a common issue for small business owners. Last week, I provided you with five tips on connecting with your authentic and trusted audience. If you didn't read it, go back and take a look. This week, I'm providing you with five more tips. Here we go!
6. Show Off Your Fans (User-Generated Content FTW!)
Encourage your customers to share their experiences with your products or services. Repost their photos, reviews, or stories (with permission, of course!). This builds trust and shows potential customers that real people love what you do.
7. Collaborate with Influencers (Yes, Even Small Ones)
You don’t need a Kardashian to get noticed. Partner with local influencers or micro-influencers who have engaged, loyal followers. Their shoutout can introduce your business to a whole new crowd, often with more authenticity than big-name endorsements.
8. Try Paid Ads (Even a Little Goes a Long Way)
If you have a budget, even a small one, experiment with targeted ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. They let you zero in on your ideal customer by location, interests, and more, so your message lands in the right feeds. You can always start small with $1 or $2 a day and work your way up.
9. Keep an Eye on Analytics
Don’t just guess what’s working—check your stats! Most platforms offer free analytics, like META. Googly Analytics is also a good free one. See which posts get the most love, what times your followers are online, and which hashtags bring in the clicks. Use this info to tweak your strategy and double down on what works.
10. Stay Authentic and Have Fun
People can spot a copy-paste brand from a mile away. Show your personality, share your story, and let your passion shine through. Social media is your chance to connect, not just sell.
Remember, building visibility on social media doesn’t happen overnight. Stay patient, keep experimenting, and celebrate your wins—big and small. Your next loyal customer could be just one post away!
