Why Choose Joy?
During the past 30 years, I have developed a diverse set of skills that make me highly versatile. My experience, maturity, and knowledge enable me to offer you and your business valuable insights.
In 1994, I began my career in journalism with the NBC affiliate WRC-TV in Washington D.C. on a weekend program called "Teen TV." I then pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism at the University of South Carolina. My professional journey in television included three years at WLTX-TV in Columbia, SC, eight years at WCSC-TV in Charleston, SC, and four years as the Assistant News Director at WTOC-TV in Savannah, GA. In 2012, I transitioned to the government sector, serving four years as the Public Information Officer for Beaufort County Government and five years as the Community Relations Manager for the Bluffton Police Department. I eventually felt drawn to the local non-profit Memory Matters, which supports families with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. After spending four years in the non-profit world, I decided to spend full-time on Joyful Marketing. Each role has developed my communication skills, allowing me to engage diverse audiences through social media and presentations, produce various reports and promotional materials, and manage events ranging from the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Savannah to a Gala for 400 guests and a community celebration for 3,000 attendees.

I love to be creative, and I love to see others succeed.
